Get cozy and be playful.
A lovely 1880's private studio loft with 1 bath waiting to host friendly people. With beautiful brick walls, a new bathroom, new desk/cocktail area, and tall wooden beamed ceilings. We tried to maintain the charm and simplicity of the original mill. You'll have a private entrance with lockbox access, cozy bright studio room, stocked coffee maker along with a variety of teas, refrigerator, and microwave. Iron and board provided. Bright bathroom with large shower, plenty of clean towels and blow dryer. 1 Queen Bed with nice sheets and duvet. TV with access to many popular cable channels and the option of connecting to your Netflix or Amazon Prime Account. Our historic renovated mill building, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, is located in the neighborhood of Olneyville. Our area of Olneyville is in the beginning stages of gentrification (no Starbucks). Many of the surrounding mill buildings not yet renovated are currently occupied by an array of artists and musicians. Think Soho in the 80's. It is an edgy, transitional location within walking distance to the adjacent restaurants, galleries and nightlife of the West End and Federal Hill. 3 Min. walk to the Bus in Olneyville square will take you around town. Centrally located. 7 min. drive to downtown, the eastside, and everything else Providence has to offer.

Fantastic place in a perfect location.
Second time staying with Jim and Peter, this time in the other space adjacent their pottery studio. The space is just as great as the first, and the experience was again a great one. My previous review still holds true: "Fantastic place in a perfect location. Peter and Jim were excellent hosts. The loft was exactly as pictured, super clean, comfortable and stylish. Location is central to Olneyville, Federal Hill, and all that Providence's West End has to offer. Checking in and out was a breeze, and parking was easy. Quite honestly the best experience I've had so far in Providence.
Wish we could have stayed longer.
We arrived at midnight and were warmly greeted by Peter and given a tour of his beautiful pottery workshop. We loved every moment of our Rhode Island trip up until the last day of our stay; we loved our time at this cozy and chic loft and wish we could have stayed longer! The pictures don't do it justice. Already planning our next trip back and will most certainly be returning to Peter and Jim's place. I will also be ordering a couple of J Schatz's gorgeous nightlights.
Peter and Jim are wonderful people and hosts.
Peter and Jim are wonderful people and hosts who have a fantastic place. It is very welcoming and warm. They go above and beyond by giving their own lists of places, entertainment, restaurants and more which was super helpful. The whole place is bright and cozy with an artsy vibe from their beautiful studio right outside the room. I would definitely stay here again!
The Dye House Loft Building
Built in 1880
Built in 1880, the building was the former dye house for the Weybosset Mills and is on the national register of historic places. The 5,000 sq. ft, one-and-one-half-story building has windows on both sides that allow natural light into the building throughout the day. It is an inspiring space that is located near wonderful restaurants and nightlife. We have tastefully renovated the entire mill with a very modern and comfortable aesthetic.
Relax and be inspired.
Dye House Lofts. A place to call home when you visit Providence.
