“They go above and beyond”

“The loft is absolutely stunning! It's modern and contemporary with a bit of a rustic feel at the same time. Its absolutely beautiful and don't get me started on how incredible it is to stay in their studio! Their handmade pottery is exquisite and subtle. I can't wait to go back the next time I'm in Rhode Island. They go above and beyond with making you feel at home and welcome!”

“My dream come true!”

“My boyfriend and I just wrapped up a magical stay at this hidden gem. Located in historic Olneyville, the location might not be for everyone. But if you love unique experiences and beautiful things, then look no further. The Loft Suite 2 is a dreamy, efficient loft space, well-appointed with gorgeous J Schatz pieces (including the "Brutal" coffee set ::swoon::). It's like living in an art gallery. Which is not far from the truth: the unit is located LITERALLY in a ceramics studio (open M-F; guests receive a 10% discount) in a renovated historic mill. Check-in was a breeze (code to lockbox received day of arrival), parking for one car located just outside the door. Essentials (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bottled water, coffee) included. Jim & Peter are amazing, friendly hosts who take great pride in their space, and are happy to offer suggestions for restaurants, outings, and things to do. I can't wait to come back to Providence and stay here again! Summary: happy, peaceful, artsy vibe. One-of-a-kind space. Spotless. Easy parking. Perfect, gracious hosts. My dream come true!”

“Everything we wanted and more.”

“This is a wonderful room just off a working arts/design studio in a reclaimed industrial space. As one would expect from professional designers, Jim & Peter have created for their guests a space beautiful, hip and comfortable. Comfortable bed, great shower, good lighting, very thoughtful amenities (freshly ground coffee, bottled water, etc.) The neighborhood is transitional but we felt comfortable and the off-street parking was great. Having a BBQ joint next door is a nice touch. We also tried a couple of the restaurants on Jim & Peter's helpful lists-some in walking distance-and appreciated the recommendations. Our business took us downtown and to several college campuses in Providence. We found our location great for quick and easy drives to our destinations. While the neighborhood seems very quiet during the day, on weekend evenings it fills with folks from the nearby music clubs. Peter & Jim were attentive, thoughtful and readily available on our whole stay. They took time to help us get settled in the room and checked with us every time we happened to see them. We got a personal tour of their studio and enjoyed using their products--custom lamps, coffee mugs, coffee maker--in our room. We had a great visit to Providence and Jim & Peter's room and hospitality played a large part in the success of our trip.”

“One of the best”

“Jim and Peter's bnb is one of the best my wife and I have stayed in. The attention to detail to the decor and design of the room as well as the entire building as a whole is gorgeous. We really love the use of art and products that are created in the studio next door that are used in the room such as the plates and Brutal Coffeemaker! We felt very welcome and comfortable during our entire stay and would 100% stay again if we needed to stay in Providence!”

“I think this is my favorite bnb ever!”

“I think this is my favorite bnb ever! The setting, in a refurbished mill, is unique and beautiful. The high ceilings with exposed beams, the beautifully appointed bathroom, the high windows that let in light while offering privacy, the coffee pot and cups made in Jim and Peter's next door ceramics studio, and the ceramics studio itself all created a very modern look in a stunningly refurbished historic building. Peter and Jim's communication was just right, from coordinating schedules, meeting us to show us around, and checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed, without being the least bit intrusive. I can't say enough good things about the setting and our stay at Jim and Peter's. It was fabulous, and we hope to stay with them again the next time we are in Providence!”

“Can't wait to be back”

“WOW! this sanctuary of a property is a hidden gem and super convenient location. I stayed here for a 4 day convention, the guests from the 2nd studio stayed a week for vacation. No space at the Omni, nor the Hilton, I almost cancelled. Then I found this listing with beautiful photos and most complete and meticulous of instructions, I was impressed and took the chance. When I arrived Peter was just leaving but he took time to show me the loft suite 2 which was exactly as how the photos show: exquisite, minimalist and chic decor, inside this gorgeous historic building with mile long beams, giant windows that bathe in light the beautiful handmade creations of the most brilliant warmest of hosts Peter and Jim. I cant say enough of how happy I was to stay here as it was only 8 minutes away from the convention center, 5 from Broadway/Atwell/Federal Hill, 12 from the airport, all by Uber. For places to go forget Yelp, follow Jim and Peter's comprehensive list (a printed copy is inside the room). I tried NY System's double weiners combo (2 blocks away), Pastiche, Providence Oyster Bar (twice, happy hour $1 oysters and clams, sea scallops a must try), attended the RI International Film Festival 2016, and went on the historic Providence Tour. This beautiful city is now one of my favorite cities in the world. Thank you Peter and Jim, can't wait to be back!”

“Peter and Jim are wonderful people and hosts.”

“Peter and Jim are wonderful people and hosts who have a fantastic place. It is very welcoming and warm. They go above and beyond by giving their own lists of places, entertainment, restaurants and more which was super helpful. The whole place is bright and cozy with an artsy vibe from their beautiful studio right outside the room. I would definitely stay here again!”

Fantastic place in a perfect location.

“Second time staying with Jim and Peter, this time in the other space adjacent their pottery studio. The space is just as great as the first, and the experience was again a great one. My previous review still holds true: "Fantastic place in a perfect location. Peter and Jim were excellent hosts. The loft was exactly as pictured, super clean, comfortable and stylish. Location is central to Olneyville, Federal Hill, and all that Providence's West End has to offer. Checking in and out was a breeze, and parking was easy. Quite honestly the best experience I've had so far in Providence.”

Excellent taste and high design style of the hosts was beyond our expectations!

"Excellent taste and high design style of the hosts was beyond our expectations! We’ve been traveling to Providence from CA for 4 years and grew tired of staying at conventional hotels, so started looking for a more unique experience. We stumbled upon this amazing find on Airbnb! We we could not believe there was something this cool in the location we were familiar with! We always wanted to stay in a modern urban loft with natural brick, wood & concrete finishes! This beautifully renovated historic building and the excellent taste and high design style of the hosts was beyond our expectations! The room feels vast with its 20 ft ceilings and the decor is fresh, modern and lovingly embellished with J Schatz’s beautifully crafted ceramic home goods from the incredible lamps to the dishes and even the cabinet hardware. The bed was also very comfortable and their handcrafted nightlight is sure to provide you with a fun surprise! The hosts also put a lot of time and energy into making sure you have very clear details on everything you need to know, along with an incredible list of restaurants and they make supply you with high quality coffee, teas and toiletries from Whole Foods. You can meet Peter and Jim in their studio where you will be inspired by their incredible collection of ceramic goods, their love for design & life, and their warm and inviting personalities. We found everything to be simply irresistible!"

This is probably my favorite BnB I️ have stayed in so far!

"Great BnB! This is probably my favorite BnB I️ have stayed in so far! The location is an old industrial district and the space is a converted old wool dyeing factory. The owners have converted it into two BnB rooms, their pottery workspace, and their apartment on the far end of the building. They have provided thoughtful touches in the room that really make a difference. Very clean. I️ would highly recommend staying here when you visit Providence."
